The JET 5000 is the
third largest buoy in the JET series of buoys. A hull diameter of 2.4
metre diameter hull provides 5000kg of buoyancy making it suitable for
use in offshore, deepwater and large river locations where a highly
visible navigation buoy is required. The Jet 5000 buoys share the main
structural components with the larger Jet 7000 and 9000 buoys, and can
provide a high focal plane when used with one of the tail tube options.
The Jet 5000 buoys are also available with an optional flat bottom
making it suitable for use in shallow and fast water, particularly where
there is a risk of grounding.
All
JET 5000 buoys
are constructed around a central galvanized steel core structure using
common hull floats, tower and top mark assemblies. This modular design
allows for a range of common parts that reduce maintenance, inspection,
and replacement costs. Jet 5000 buoys are available as Cardinal,
Lateral, Safe-Water, Isolated Danger or as Special Marks that can be
configured to meet various requirements in regards to navigation lights,
solar panels and battery configurations.
The complete line of JET buoys are a suitable alternatives to
traditional steel buoys.
