The JET 2500 is a medium size
buoy in the JET series. It's 1.85 metre diameter hull provides 2500kg of
buoyancy making it suitable for use in near shore locations where
a highly visible navigation buoy is required. The standard configuration
is the JET 2500FB which has a flat bottomed galvanized steel core
allowing the buoy to stay upright even in areas of shallow water. The FB
model provides a focal height of 2 metres but larger focal heights of 3
metres can be achieved with the JET 2500Q which utilizes a tail tube
assembly.
Constructed around a central
galvanized steel core structure, the JET 2500 buoys use common hull
floats, tower and top mark assemblies. This modular design allows for a
range of common parts that reduce maintenance, inspection, and
replacement costs. Jet 2500 buoys are available as Cardinal, Lateral,
Safe-Water, Isolated Danger or as Special Marks that can be configured
to meet various requirements in regards to navigation lights, solar
panels and battery configurations.
The complete line of JET buoys are a suitable alternatives to
traditional steel buoys.
