GDI 1.22M TOWER BUOY

The GDI 1.22M-TOWER buoy is another high performance entry in the line-up of ultra-low maintenance, cost effective plastic buoys. This buoy shares the basic body design and shape of the GDI 1.22M buoy but incorporates a 1 meter high tower that effectively extends the focal plane and significantly increases the visual area. The GDI 1.22M TOWER buoy also has an increased radar signature with an internal 24" single octahedral radar reflector in the main body and a 12" double octahedral radar reflector inside the tower. The rugged outer shell of the buoy is made from  10 mm thick UV-stabilized virgin polyethylene. A standard EPS (expanded polystyrene) foam filling forms a solid core ensuring that these buoys will not sink even if punctured or damaged. Built in threaded inserts allow for  attaching a wide range of top marks and solar marine lights making these buoys ideal for marking channels in ports, harbours, marinas and other waterways. The large visual target area, internal radar reflector, 316 stainless steel hardware combined with our standard three year structural guarantee have made the GDI 1.22M TOWER buoys a logical choice for replacing traditional steel buoys.
