TECHNOLOGY

Solar power, intelligent electronics and LED technology allows the 702 to charge during the day, even under cloudy conditions, and turn on and off automatically at dusk and dawn.  Instead of traditional incandescent bulbs, our marine lanterns use an array of long life, high-intensity light emitting diodes (LEDs), which have a lifespan of approximately 100,000 hours. Each unit is designed to operate reliably with zero servicing or maintenance for up to five years.

Proven to withstand many years of harsh environmental conditions including submersion, vibration and intense sunlight. All of our lights have sophisticated electronics, software and microprocessor controls that allow the unit to produce an extremely accurate flash character that automatically turns on at dusk and off at dawn while maintaining consistent light output performance over all battery voltage levels. Temperature compensating charging circuitry prevents overcharging and deep discharge and a low battery shut-down feature automatically deactivates the light after 20 hours in full darkness for seasonal storage and/or transport.
